Aberdeen defender Mikey Devlin has withdrawn from the Scotland squad for the Nations League game against Albania on Saturday.
The central defender was in contention to make his debut alongside Dons clubmate Scott McKenna on Saturday but injury has ruled him out of the game. Celtic defender Jack Hendry has been called up to take his place in Alex McLeish’s squad.
Hendry and former Rangers defender David Bates, now playing for Hamburg, will now compete to join McKenna in central defence on Saturday.
Devlin joins Craig Gordon, Charlie Mulgrew, Kevin McDonald, Stephen O’Donnell and Ryan Jack in pulling out.
Scotland were already without forwards Steven Naismith and Leigh Griffiths, with Tom Cairney not selected as he returns from a lay-off.
