Scotland will face Israel in the Nations League play-off semi-finals in March.
The game will be played at Hampden Park on March 26 and should Scotland win, they will face either Norway or Serbia away from home five days later for a place at Euro 2020.
Scotland secured a play-off berth after winning their Nations League group last autumn, beating Albania and Israel to top spot.
They finished third in their qualifying group, behind Belgium and Russia, and ended the group phase with three consecutive wins against San Marino, Cyprus and Kazakhstan.
The national side could have been drawn against either Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary or Israel in Friday morning’s draw.
Israel finished fifth in their qualifying group, with Poland and Austria advancing automatically to the tournament.
Elsewhere, in Group B, the winner of the Bosnia-Herzegovina and Northern Ireland tie will play host to the victor of Slovakia and the Republic of Ireland.
