Scotland captain Rachel Corsie reckons the release of new kits for the women’s side adds to the excitement of their first World Cup.
Shelley Kerr’s squad will head to France this summer, taking on England, Japan and Argentina in the group stages, with Aberdeen’s Corsie thrilled to have new home and away strips to wear.
The kits will be for the women’s side only, with the three trademark Adidas stripes added to the shoulders of Scotland’s traditional navy blue jersey.
The away strip will incorporate a pink shirt, with black shorts and pink socks, to be worn during the tournament in June.
Corsie said: “It’s something that’s really special to the girls – the kit looks amazing and you really feel the part when you wear it, which in turn can really add to our performance.
“All of these additional things are really adding to the squad’s excitement ahead of the FIFA Women’s World Cup.
“This is a big statement to everyone involved, from the players to the fans. We want to make the absolute most of the opportunity.”
Scotland are coming off the back of a fifth-placed finish at the Algarve Cup, which saw them beat Denmark 1-0 to seal their best finish at the competition.
Both kits are available to pre-order online ahead of full release in May.
