Kim Little: Has been in excellent goalscoring form ahead of Scotland's match against Sweden.
Kim Little is aiming to maintain her prolific scoring streak today when Scotland face Sweden.
The Aberdonian goes into the World Cup qualifier on the back of netting 11 times in 11 games for Seattle Reign.
The goals have helped the American side move eight points clear at the top of the NWSL, while Little was been named player of the month for April and May.
She said: “It has gone extremely well, both personally and for the team. I couldn’t have asked for much more.”
Scotland sit top of Group 4 with maximum points from their first six games, three points ahead of their opponents Sweden, who also boast a 100% record in their five matches.
Today’s match is the first of a qualification double-header, with a trip to face Northern Ireland in Belfast on June 19 next for Anna Signeul’s side.
The Scots will enter the fixtures in a confident frame of mind, with their last qualification tie a 3-1 victory away to Bosnia and Herzegovina. That match saw forward Jane Ross, who plays her football in Sweden, score her second hat-trick of the qualification campaign.
Sweden are ranked as the third best team in Europe but Little added: “We are confident we can give them a good game.”
