Westdyke Thistle hailed for ‘superb football’ on way to 4-0 win

Westdyke Thistle impressed in their 4-0 win at Newtonhill in U18 A.

Second placed Westdyke Thistle made it five wins in a row with a comfortable win at Portlethen Academy.

Westdyke Thistle’s coach Colin Shirreffs said: “It was an excellent 4-0 win.

“We played some superb football today and should have scored more goals with the chances created, but three points and a clean sheet is a great day’s work for an away performance.”

The result was Thistle’s 10th game in a row without defeat.
