Ricky Milne and Joseph Zanre shine in Peterhead BC win at Mintlaw

Peterhead BC claimed the U16 B title with a 3-0 victory against Mintlaw BC.

The victory leaves the Blue Toon side on 42 points – one point ahead of Stonehaven YFC and Deveronvale Reds who have completed their 18 fixtures.

Peterhead BC’s head coach Kenny Watson said: “We had to battle really hard today for the win.

“The boys found it really difficult to keep the ball on the deck due to the really poor surface.

“However, we did defend really well as a team to stop Mintlaw from getting any good chances on goal, so once we got in front, we never really looked like conceding.

“A brace from Ricky Milne and a superb top corner finish from Joseph Zanre sealed the win.”

The last match between the teams ended in a 11-0 home win for Peterhead BC in December 2021.
