Fraserburgh LinkUp YFC won 2-1 against Ellon Meadows in the U16 B on Saturday.
Ellon Meadows coach Scott Johnston said: “Not the best of starts for us.
“We were a goal down and reduced to 10 men in 17 minutes after a ridiculous refereeing decision.
“We managed to hold it together until half time.
“The second half started better with Harry Campbell coming close a couple of times.
“However, some slack defending from a corner saw us go 2 behind.
“We kept pushing though, and a superb double save from Aaron Johnston kept us in it.
“Aiden Topping gave us hope when he headed in from a corner.
“We fought to the final whistle getting a couple of half chances but it wasn’t to be.”
