Dyce BC are three points clear at the top of the Alba Gaskets 18s League A after maintaining their perfect start to the season with a 3-0 win against Kintore United.

Newmachar United are in second spot but were made to work hard by Colony Colts in a 2-1 victory.

Colony Colts manager Fraser Skene said: “The lads gave their all, stayed in the game and were unlucky not to get an equaliser at the end.

“Our goalkeeper Grant Taylor was fantastic again, as were Euan Riach and Daniel Bisset.

“Delighted with the boys’ improvement and spirit, I’m confident wins will come soon.”

Elsewhere in the U18 A, Dee United drew 3-3 against Banchory Boys, Cove Youth United FC won 3-1 against Culter Deeside and Northstar CFC won 3-1 against Westdyke Thistle.

Thistle YFC are one point clear at the top of 17s League B following a 5-1 win at Kintore United.

Elsewhere in the U17 B Colony Park defeated 4-0 Middlefield Wasps and Culter Thistle won 3-1 against Banchory Boys.

Dee on cloud nine

Banks o’ Dee Albion cruised to a 9-1 success against Culter Colts in the U16 A.

Scott Steele, the Banks o’ Dee Albion manager, said: “A great all-round performance.

“The variety of goals were really pleasing with goals coming from tap ins, corners and shots outside of the box, with the pick of the bunch from Zak Stephens, a brace from Hugo Denniel and a debut goal from Ayren Carr.”

Westdyke Thistle claimed all three points in their home game against 10-man Bridge of Don Thistle on Saturday in the U16 B with a 2-0 win.

Bridge of Don Thistle manager Ryan Monaghan said: “Marcus Stephen and Bailey McMurray drove the team on but with 10 men we were up against it.

“Despite playing some good football and creating opportunities it wasn’t our day.”

Elsewhere in the U16 B, leaders Fraserburgh LinkUp picked up a narrow 2-1 victory against Ellon Meadows, Blackburn BC won 5-0 against Deveronvale and Cove YFC United defeated Colony Park 6-1.

Northstar CFC defeated the visiting Formartine United YFC 3-1 in the U16 C on Saturday.

Formartine United YFC’s manager Tom McNeill said: “We conceded an early goal and could of course gone into our shell.

“Instead the boys showed fight and determination and we deserved our equaliser and got in 1-1 at half time.

“The boys were superb and played great football throughout.

“We have games in hand in the league and need to go on a good run now.”

Elsewhere in the U16 C Kintore United FC drew 2-2 against Turriff United YFC Lions.
