Captain Paul McGinley had a hand in the design of today’s Team Europe outfits – and we must say we are suitably impressed with his design skills.
The kit features different shades of purple with a large thistle dominating the stylish jumper and McGinley explained he was looking to “honour the national flower of Scotland.”
The outfit has proved popular with players and fans alike – and certainly seems to be going down better than the last Scotland inspired sport kit we saw.
The designers worked hard to design an iconic outfit for the Team Scotland athletes at Glasgow 2014 but we certainly prefer McGinley’s Ryder Cup effort.
The Irishman took time today to explain the thinking behind the outfits.
