Once against the longer hitters will benefit on this hole. There is a bunker to the right but the real dangers are the deep, steep bunkers on the left. However, as long as players avoid the bunkers, we will see plenty of birdies and even a fair share of eagles on this hole.
Hole facts
Name: Crook o’ Moss
Distance: 618 yards
Par: Five
Top tip: Aim left with your second shot to give an easy pitch up the length of the green.
Andrew Jowett, Head Professional at Gleneagles Resort, says
The perfect line is between the two bunkers, right and left, protecting the landing area for the drive. Depending on wind direction, safe play with the second shot is to the left leaving a short pitch/chip for an up and down birdie. However, on a calm day, this par 5 can provide great spectator excitement when the big hitters open their shoulders.
