While no hole at Gleneagles guarantees birdies, we are likely to see a few on the 11th. The green is visible off the tee but many a player has been guilty of aiming straight for the green and missing the fairway right. The green is narrow but that is unlikely to stop the Ryder Cup stars recording birdies.
Hole facts
Name: Laich Burn
Distance: 350 yards
Par: Four
Top tip: The right club is vital, due to an angled, well-bunkered green with no bail-out area.
Andrew Jowett, Head Professional at Gleneagles Resort, says
A 3 or 4 wood may be the favoured tee shot to give a full pitch to the plateau green. Getting the yardage right is important on the approach, with bunkers awaiting short and long. Not many players will want to miss right.
