Glen Urquhart, the 2015 winners, have a triple boost for their all-Premiership MacTavish Cup first-round tie with Lochaber at Drumnadrochit tomorrow.
Manager Ian Macleod said: “Conor Golabek, Euan Lloyd and Andrew Corrigan are all back after missing our defeat at Kingussie and they will inject pace to our line-up.
“It won’t be easy against Lochaber, who have had a disappointing start but who have one of the game’s best managers in Ally Ferguson. He will have them organised to get the result they need.”
National Division new boys Strathglass face Premiership neighbours Lovat at Cannich and Lovat manager Fraser Gallacher said: “The teams haven’t met at first-team level in recent years, which adds spice to the tie.”
Lovat, cup winners in 2013 and 2014, are boosted by the return of defenders Drew Howie and Bailey Munro but Martin Mainland is still injured. Josh Fraser has been on target for Strath and will be a threat to the visitors.
National Division leaders Skye, who last won this trophy 119 years ago, have Neil MacVicar a major doubt with a thumb injury for their tussle with Caberfeidh at Strathpeffer.
The teams fought out a goalless draw at the same venue on March 11 and both teams remain unbeaten, with Cabers drawing their two fixtures.
Ian Nicolson picked up a face injury in the win at Oban Celtic, while Skye wait on fitness verdicts on Will Cowie and Steve Morrison, who missed out last week.
Iain MacLellan, who slammed a hat-trick on his debut last week, will again feature for the islanders.
This is the 80th anniversary of Cabers’ last triumph in the MacTavish Cup.
