The prestigious Cawdor Cup at this year’s National Stallion Show was awarded to Charlotte Young’s Doura Magic Touch, from Hall Farm, Ayr.
In addition to standing male champion, he also lifted the Prince of Wales trophy for the supreme Clydesdale championship.
The yearling colt, by Glebeview Sir Charles and out of the Carnaff Ambassador-sired mare Ballinrees Lady Jayne, was bred in Northern Ireland by Victor Millen, and is no stranger to the limelight having dominated the 2017 foal show season.
Taking the reserve Cawdor Cup honours was Collessie Consort, a two-year-old home-bred colt from Ron and Pete Black of Newton of Collessie, Cupar.
Consort is by Arradoul Balvenie, and out of the Great American Ben Franklin daughter, Collessie Robyn.
The female Clysdesale championship and reserve supreme award went to Jim and Linzi Kennedy’s Hillhouse Zara. This seven-year-old mare is by Collessie Cut Above and out of Hillhouse Millie.
Charlotte Young’s Clerkington Cassandra was the reserve female.
This three-year-old filly is by Doura Kingmaker and out of Garleton Katie.

The Highland Pony section saw just six entries and it was West Kilbride-based Susan Wardrop’s Qerina of Carlung which took the championship.
This seven-year-old mare is by Carlung Jed, out of Lauren of Carlung.
Bowmore Ben Cruachan took the reserve title for John and Jacqueline Bonar of Kirkmuirhill.
This six-year-old gelding is by Moss-side Iain Mhor, out of Bowmore Lady Laura.
Kerloch Rupert – a 12-year-old black standard stallion by Stow Review and out of Burnbank Veda – took the Shetland Pony championship for John Watson of Jedburgh.
Reserve standard was Transy Stud’s Rosekate of Transy – a seven-year-old mare by Elderberry of Transy.
The Stud had the junior champion in three-year-old filly Roselucy of Transy, by Charles of Transy.
Harry Sleigh of St John’s Wells took the reserve junior award with Wells Admiral, a yearling by Wells Real lucky, out of Kerloch Elixia.
The miniature championship went to Katherine and Peter Thompson’s stallion Halstock Jeopardy, by Halstock Reggae.
Reserve was Elspeth Crawford’s yearling filly Plumtree Jolie, by Merrylees Camelot.
