Richie Ramsay held his nerve in the final six holes of the Valderrama Masters to retain his European Tour card for next season.
When the weather-hit tournament concluded this morning, Aberdonian Ramsay was sitting tied for 20th and projected to finish out of the top 116 in the Race to Dubai rankings
However, he negotiated those remaining holes to finish three-under for the round and tied-11th for the tournament, moving him into 115th in the rankings.
He tweeted: “Huge pressure but nothing like playing well in that moment. Support has been great…helps maintain that BELIEF.”
There was no such luck for his fellow Scot Marc Warren though. Despite being one of the early leaders in Spain, Warren was part of the five-way tie for 11th, which was not enough to keep him on the Tour for next season.
Stephen Gallacher finished on one-over and Connor Syme five-over in Andalucia.
