Castle Stuart golf links will partially reopen from Friday after being shut down due to coronavirus.
The four-time Scottish Open venue, which is situated on the outskirts of Inverness, will initially reopen with a five-day week excluding Mondays and Tuesdays, and limited tee-times.
The course will reopen for bookings subject to final confirmation from the Scottish government, which is expected on Thursday.
Play will be limited to individuals playing on their own and two ball games, which can be between two players from different households as long as the government’s physical distancing guidelines are adhered to.
Three and four balls can be permitted at the club’s discretion if players come from a total of no more than two households.
Castle Stuart general manager Stuart McColm said: “We are delighted to be returning to some form of play though we have to be clear that the safety of our staff and visitors is uppermost in our thoughts.
“We will be commencing on a slightly reduced scale as we navigate through the first few days and will alter our operations according to demand.
“The course will be open to our corporate programme and locals, though it is worth remembering that the current lockdown advice appears to be that people should travel no more than five miles for exercise.
“We will be adhering to all of the guidance and lockdown rules in the process. However, we are extremely pleased to be able to make this tentative first step back to playing. We are grateful for the invaluable support we continue to receive from our corporate programme, locals and even golfers from around the world.”
