Inverurie swimmer Hannah Miley has won the first heat of the 400m individual medley. In doing so, the 24 year-old set a Commonwealth Games record of 4 minutes 38:27 seconds in the category. She beat Emily Overhalt of Canada to first place, and qualified for this evening’s final which takes place at 19.07 this evening. Miley will be aiming to defend her gold medal in the 400m individual medley, which she won in Delhi four years ago.
