Inverness swimmer Stephen Milne and Aberdeen’s Robbie Renwick have both qualified for this evening’s 400m freestyle final.
Milne, Renwick and Edinburgh’s Daniel Wallace all qualified from the third heat, which was won by 20-year-old Milne in 3:46.88.
Wallace came second in 3:46.96, while Renwick squeezed through in third position on 3:47.19.
Aussie David McKeon was the fastest overall qualifier on 3:45.23.
Afterwards Milne said: “It’s amazing. I am very pleased, I just went for it.
“It’s just like any other race, nothing to be scared of.”
Renwick added: “I have had a good season of training and I am dead chuffed to get one, two, three with these boys. Hopefully we can all get medals tonight.”
