Highland heavyweight boxing prospect Gary Cornish’s British title eliminator against Ian Lewison on Saturday is off.
The Scot was due to meet Lewison in Paisley but the fight has been called off after Lewison suffered an injury.
Cornish will still top the bill in a 10 round contest after Larry Olumbamiwo agreed to step in at short notice against the Highlander.
Olumbamiwo, known as War Machine, will still represent a step up in class for Cornish at the Lagoon Leisure Centre.
The 35-year-old was banned from boxing two years ago after testing positive for blood-boosting substance EPO following a fight with Sam Sexton. He went on to admit using 13 banned substances over a six-year period and only regained his boxing license late last year after having his four year ban cut to one.
