Aberdeen Lynx face a challenging battle against arch-rivals, the Dundee Tigers in the SNL this Saturday.
In what is anticipated to be a difficult match, the Lynx head into the home game with momentum where they hope to bag a third consecutive win.
Rod Ramsay, head coach, said: “I expect the upcoming game to be another rugged, full on game, and I’m anticipating that it will be a close match between the two rivals.
“They key to winning really comes down to who is more determined to fight hard for the win.
“The Tigers bring a strong combination of skill and usually play with an aggressive style, especially against the Lynx.
“The team really have to stick to our game plan and I think if we do so, we can come out on top for sure.
The Lynx will be looking to avenge their away loss, which they suffered the last time the two teams met, resulting in a 6-5 victory for the Tigers.
Captain of the Aberdeen Lynx, Jordan Leyden, said: “As always it will come down to everyone doing their jobs on the ice and staying focused and positive.
“The tiniest of slip up’s could potentially lost us the game, and we don’t want to throw away any goals this weekend.”
A victory on Saturday would see the Lynx sitting comfortably in third place in the league, however, if the team allow the Tigers to gain vital points this could see the Tigers move above the Lynx.
With so much at stake for both teams, this weekend’s game promises to be another dramatic clash between two talented teams.
