Golf professional Carly Booth jumped out of a plane from thousands of feet in a bid to raise funds to help her brother take part in the Special Olympics in America next year.
Her brother, the 24-year old Paul, was selected to represent Britain at the World Games in Los Angeles next year following his victory at the Scottish Championships for Powerlifters with a Learning Disability earlier this year.
Inspired by these achievements, Carly rose £1,500 in donations ahead of her dive, which took place over the United Arab Emirates city.
The money will go to the Special Olympics team.
She said: “It was an amazing experience and I’m so happy I was able to raise more that my target, that’s what it’s all about.”
“I’m so proud of my brother Paul and I think athletes competing in the Special Olympics deserve to get the best our of it, they work just as hard in their sport and it should be noticed.”
