Aberdeen’s Richie Ramsay says he will give “100 per cent” as he chases his dream of becoming a Scottish Open champion today.
The 33-year-old is the best placed Scot going into the final round at Castle Stuart Golf Links.
Ramsay is tied ninth on six under par – six shots behind leader Alex Noren from Sweden.
However anything can happen on a wet final day at the Inverness course and Ramsay says he will push as hard as he can to win the Scottish Open for the first time.
He said: “I’ve got to stick to my plan and my plan is always be the best I can be.
“If I can get up tomorrow morning and prepare well and do my warm up, do my stretching, go out on the range and do that and have a good attitude, if you mix that together, I think potential is limitless.
“I just hope that that comes tomorrow.
“I have just got to try 100 per cent, that’s all you can do.”
The highlight of Ramsay’s third round was an eagle two at the par-4 third hole when he almost holed his tee shot.
Ramsay added: “It was playing about 290 yards and I hit 3-wood.
“I thought it had stopped on the ledge on the left. I got down there and I thought it was going to be 20 feet by but it was literally about a foot.
“Watching on TV, it must have been really close to going in.”
Ramsay tees off for his final round alongside Jorge Campillo at 2.10pm.
