Scotland have been drawn against Ireland and hosts Japan for the 2019 Rugby World Cup.
Just two of the five teams will progress to the knockout stages of the tournament.
Irish player Jamie Heaslip reportedly punched the air when his side’s opponents were announced, saying “We are happy with it. There are tougher groups.”
However, Scotland were victorious in their last meeting with Ireland, as they edged out Joe Schmidt’s side 27-22 at Murrayfield in the Six Nations.
Japan meanwhile has never recorded a victory against the Scots.
The tournament runs from 20 September to 2 November, 2019.
