Gordonians captain Tom William is targeting a double over Perthshire this weekend.
The Countesswells side recorded a 66-17 victory in Perth earlier this season but Williams expects a more difficult encounter when the North Inch men travel north this weekend.
He said: “This is going to be a great game.
“The weather is looking promising and hopefully we can play some good rugby.
“We had a good result against them last time, the scoreline flattered us a little bit.
“We know they are a tough team who have been improving throughout the season.
“But if we are going to finish fifth or sixth in the league then this is the type of game where we need to be taking five points.
“If we don’t win these games then it could turn into a long, hard season.
Gordonians were without a game last weekend after their home match against Dalziel was called off due to a frozen pitch.
Head coach Ryan Morrice wants his side to finish 2017 with a flourish by defeating Perthshire tomorrow and Orkney next weekend in their final match before the Christmas break.
He said: “We beat Perthshire down there but we can’t take them lightly.
“We are almost at full strength for the match which is pleasing.
“We had targeted December as an important month.
“It was a chance to settle things down after a few defeats and get back on track.
“It was disappointing that last week’s game was called off but hopefully this weekend’s match is on and we get the win we are looking for.”
