Scottish rugby legend Doddie Weir gave a poignant address after receiving the Helen Rollason Award at Sports Personality of the Year in Aberdeen.
Weir has fought bravely against motor neurone disease, while also battling to help find a cure for the condition.
Receiving the award in front of several of his rugby peers, Weir, who was diagnosed three years ago, said: “Sport has taught me – enjoy oneself, because you don’t know what’ll happen tomorrow.
“I’ll enjoy tonight.”
