New Zealand Rugby President Ian MacRae, SRU President Iain Rankin and Scotland Captain Greig Laidlaw pay their respects to the fallen British soldiers next to War Memorial at Murrayfield.
The Scotland rugby team were this morning joined by their New Zealand counterparts to pay their Armistice Day respects.
As the country fell silent as 11am the rugby players and staff gathered at Murrayfield stadium for a poignant remembrance service.
Meanwhile, the Scotland football team, currently based at Mar Hall ahead of Friday’s match with the Republic of Ireland, took time out of training to bow their heads and observe the silence, as shown below.
