The Scotland squad were handed their World Cup caps and officially welcomed to the 2015 Rugby World Cup at a ceremony yesterday.
The event was held at Gloucester Cathedral near the teams Tewkesbury base.
Scotland’s World Cup campaign starts on Wednesday against Japan and with memories of four years ago in New Zealand when the Scots failed to make it out of their group still fresh, captain Greig Laidlaw is wary of complacency.
He said: “You only get a limited time in the Scotland jersey and we want to look back and say we were part of the team which had success.
“That’s something we have talked about – but we don’t just want to talk about it, we want to get out there and do it.”
