There will be magic in the air for children at next week’s Tulloch Homes Camanachd Cup shinty final.
A magician will be part of a special Kids Zone area at An Aird Stadium, Fort William, before the Newtonmore and Oban Camanachd takes place on the field on Saturday September 14.
Banff-based magician Dean Spruce, a Magic Circle member, will perform a half hour show before performing walkabout magic entertainment for the kids.
Inverness-based Trapeze Entertainment, which performed on all three days of the Belladrum Festival, will present an hour of circus skills workshop plus an hour of puppet fun workshop.
ARTventurers will showcase art, crafts and sensory play activities. There will be a Feis of children’s Gaelic songs, stories and musicians plus a rainbow tent with special décor, games and books.
Lorna Cameron, of sponsors Tulloch Homes, said:”We want it to be a big day for kids before the shinty starts — so we’re providing something really different.
“Our Kids Zone will help make the Camanachd final even more of a family day out.”
The gate at An Aird will open at 10 am and the Kids Zone will operate right through from then. The MacMaster Under-14 Cup final will be played at 11am while the Camanachd final begins at 2.15pm.
