Lovat moved into fifth place, two points off the top, thanks to a 3-1 win against Kingussie at the Dell.
It takes them two points clear of Kingussie and completes a league double against the men from Badenoch.
Lovat manager John MacRitchie said: “The result means we can start looking up the table. That takes some of the pressure off.”
Kevin Bartlett put Lovat in front in 23 minutes with a spectacular drive but Thomas Borthwick pulled Kingussie level five minutes in to the second half.
The visitors regained the lead 16 minutes from the end when Greg Matheson scrambled the ball past the advancing goalkeeper. Lovat sealed the win in the final minute when Euan Ferguson gave Craig Dawson no chance with a fierce effort from the edge of the box.
