Newtonmore took on Kinlochshiel in the Marine Harvest Premiership.
The home side were able to take the lead through a well-worked goal before doubling their command of the tie shortly after.
However, it was a Kinlochshiel comeback that provided some of the best entertainment of the game as they put in a scrappy performance to try and pull back level.
A ferocious shot into the back of the net gave them a glimmer of hope and added heat to the contest – which at one stage threatened to boil over.
But by the time Newtonmore added a third goal, the tie looked all-but-over and a consolation score for Kinlochshiel late into the match came nothing more as the home side ran out 3-2 winners.
