Scottish Premiership sponsors Ladbrokes have revealed they have suspended betting on Aberdeen manager Derek McInnes being the next top flight manager to leave.
The Dons are top of the Scottish Premiership, one point clear of champions Celtic, after 10 games but a flurry of bets have been placed on the Aberdeen manager leaving Pittodrie.
The move comes despite McInnes and his assistant Tony Docherty signing new two year extensions in June to extend their stay at the club until the summer of 2019.
The former St Johnstone manager has been installed as 4-1 favourite for the Scotland job should Gothenburg Great Gordon Strachan decide not to continue in the role following the national team’s failure to qualify for next summer’s European Championship finals in France.
