What: The Gordonians Cricket Club 90th anniversary dinner
Where: Marcliffe Hotel, Aberdeen
Who: More than 60 former and present players gathered to celebrate the Aberdeen cricket club’s 90th anniversary. Buff Hardie, who played for Gordonians in the 1960s and 1970s, and was club secretary from 1966 to 1972, stepped up as main speaker for the evening, and offered the toast to the club.
A surprise presentation was also made to Anju Mudkavi as a tribute to his performance as
a professional for the club for
15 years.”
Why: At the anniversary dinner there was a wonderful display of memorabilia, including old scorebooks dating back to 1931, scrapbooks, copies of old team reports, team photographs, and minute books.
