Hollywood superstar Benedict Cumberbatch wowed staff and customers when he popped in for a spot of lunch at a north-east cafe.
The Sherlock Holmes and Hobbit star visited the Waterfront Cafe Bar in Stonehaven on Wednesday.
The A-lister even left a lasting impression after agreeing to pose for pictures with the cafe’s staff.
Posting the photos to their official Facebook page last night, management wrote: “A-list actor Benedict Cumberbatch had a lovely lunch with us on Wednesday.
“[He was a] very polite and guy met staff and customers.”
The post thrilled the locals, attracting nearly 300 reactions and being share more than 100 times.
Benedict is far from the only star to visit the north-east this week, with the Press and Journal revealing yesterday that pop star Kylie Minogue was vacationing in Ballater.
