Emergency crews are investigating a possible gorse blaze near a north-east village.
Fire fighters from Aberchirder were called out shortly after 2pm.
A fire service spokeswoman said they were looking for the source of the fire, but added “controlled burning” had been taking place in the area.
She said: “There’s controlled burning taking place just now so we are going to liase with the person in charge of it.”
