Image: DC Thomson. A fire has broken out at the Aberdeenshire end of the Cairngorms National Park. Ten fire appliances and at least 29 firefighters are said to be currently on the scene. One water carrier is also said to be in use on the scene. The gorse fire is believed to have broken out nearby Derry lodge, a start point for walkers near the Linn of Dee car park. The seriousness of the incident is not yet known. More to follow.
