In Pictures: Great Scott! (Non-flying) DeLorean turns up in Aberdeen

“Roads? Where we’re going Marty, we don’t need roads….”
Doc Brown’s famous words at the end of 80s classic, Back to the Future, might not apply to the Granite City – which today saw one of cinema’s most iconic car models on its streets.
In the classic movies, the DeLorean – powered by Doc Brown’s flux capacitor – is used to transport protagonist Marty McFly (played by Michael.J.Fox) back to November 15 1955.
The original hit movie spawned a huge fan base and two sequels, and is considered one of the greatest time travel films ever.
This DeLorean’s owner, Paul Mackie, of Stonehaven, responded to the Belmont Filmhouse’s plea to find an owner of one of the classic cars in the north east of Scotland.
The cinema is hosting a Back to the Future film marathon this Sunday.
