Cairngorm Mountain Rescue Team were called to action three times in 12 hours this weekend.
The rescue team received their third call out at 2am this morning.
They were sent to assist a group of three men who had become disoriented in the dark and mist after an evening ascent of Ben Macdui.
The men were without a map, compass or torch and dressed in shorts, t-shirts and sandals.
A coastguard helicopter was able to drop through a gap in the clouds to pick up the lost party.
The team had previously been sent to rescue a walker with a head injury in Ben Alder and a hiker with an dislocated knee on Cairngorm. In both instances a helicopter was used.
