John O’Groats has been showcased in a heartfelt video made by a London production company.
The minute long clip was filmed over a weekend in April and features John O’Groats football players at their jobs before coming together for matches on Saturdays.
Created by Kode Media, the insighful scenes were used in Chevrolet’s “What do you #playfor?” campaign that aims to celebrate how football has an impact on everywhere and everyone.
The man behind the production of the film, Jack Goodwin, said: “We wanted to show a small town coming together through any weather to play football – John O’Groats was perfect for this.
“It was amazing to see how warm and welcoming the community was and see how the game on Saturdays bought them together as friends.”
Mr Goodwin, who is a co-owner of Kode Media, also entered the footage in competition run by Mofilm.
He said: “Sadly we didn’t win but the film has had tremendous response with fantastic online feedback and we’re really pleased with the final result.”
John O’Groats native Andrew Mowatt who stars in the video said: “The guys involved in the making of it were great.
“They donated to the club and they showed the town in a really good light.”
