This is the moment a cyclist flew over the bonnet of a car after a driver coming in the opposite direction failed to see him when turning.
Patrick Knetemann, 34, was riding around the outskirts of London when the incident occurred, throwing him him onto to the vehicles’ bonnet causing the windscreen to break while the bike is thrown to the air.
Knetemann suffered fractures to cervical discs in his neck when he fell to the ground.
He said: “He came out of nowhere. The impact was so quick I had no time to stop. I hit the windscreen with my shoulder and it shattered straight away – that shows how fast and hard he hit me.”
The car left the scene and police have launched an investigation into the incident.
