There are hundreds of primary schools across our circulation area, all facing the ongoing challenge of securing funding to support their incredible efforts, especially in today’s difficult times.
That’s why we’re proud to announce the return of Pounds for Primaries in 2025!
We have an incredible £20,000 in cash prizes (raised through our Christmas Concerts) to give away, and we want YOUR school to claim a share.
Whether it’s for new resources, facilities, or any other need, this is your chance to come together and win valuable funds for your school.
Who can enter?
Pounds for Primaries is open to ALL primary schools, including attached nurseries, in The P&J/Evening Express circulation area. Even Parent Councils can join in and collect tokens to raise funds for their schools.
How do you get your hands on the cash?
All you have to do is work together to collect as many special tokens as possible, which will appear in The P&J/Evening Express from Monday February 3 to Saturday March 8 2025.
For our online subscribers, simply e-mail pjcommunities@pressandjournal.co.uk with the subject heading “POUNDS FOR PRIMARIES” and tell us the school you would like to allocate the full run of tokens to.
We’ll categorise participating schools into groups based on school rolls and areas, awarding significant cash prizes to the top three schools in each category.
Every school that collects a minimum of 250 tokens will get at least £100 each.
Tokens will appear between February 3 and March 8 2025 and are to be submitted by Friday March 21 2025 to: Marketing Dept., Press and Journal, 1 Marischal Square, Broad Street, Aberdeen, AB10 1BL
Good Luck!
