Aberdeen’s young guns Connor McLennan and Bruce Anderson scored their first goals of the season for the Dons to help their side to victory against Livingston at Pittodrie.
McLennan and Anderson gave the Dons a 2-0 lead before Lyndon Dykes reduced the deficit with a late header but the Dons held on to record a 2-1 win.
Dons boss Derek McInnes made three changes to the side which lost 2-1 at Celtic on Saturday with Sam Cosgrove missing out after losing his appeal against his red card at Celtic Park while Shay Logan and James Wilson dropped to the bench.
However, Logan was restored to the side after Considine suffered an injury in the warm-up.
Curtis Main, Ryan Hedges and Connor McLennan were the players who came into the starting line-up.
Livi have earned a reputation as being a side no club enjoys playing against and it was not hard to see why as they pressed and harried the home side but it was the Dons who opened the scoring in the 13th minute.
Lewis Ferguson was the creator, running on to Niall McGinn’s pass before releasing McLennan and the winger fired past Marija Sarkic in the Livi goal to give Aberdeen the lead.
In a game of precious few chances, McLennan headed straight at Sarkic in the second half before Main just failed to connect with a Niall McGinn cross.
However, Aberdeen would eventually get the second goal they craved nine minutes from time when substitute Bruce Anderson ran clear before beating Sarkic with a composed low finish.
Livi gave themselves a lifeline when Dykes scored with a late header but Aberdeen stood firm to take all three points.
