Caley Thistle manager John Hughes has backed Carl Tremarco and Danny Williams to make a bigger impact at the club next season.
Tremarco, who has served as understudy to Graeme Shinnie for long spells but has featured more regularly in 2014, played in central defence in Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Dundee United with attacking midfielder Danny Williams also impressed at left back.
Hughes was delighted with the performances of both players and believes the duo can go on to become mainstays in the side next season.
He said: “Sometimes it takes players a long while to settle.
“What usually happens the next year, they come back and feel they want to move up the food chain.
“They have that familiarity with the club and the supporters and how we train and play, and they come back for pre-season with a spring in their step and say: ‘I want to be in that starting 11.”
