Alex Schalk’s dramatic late strike secured a historic League Cup final victory for Ross County.

The Dutchman’s last minute goal was enough to beat Hibs 2-1 in a tightly contested final at Hampden.

Michael Gardyne had earlier given the Staggies a 1-0 lead before Hibs defender Liam Fontaine equalised on the stroke of half time but it was Schalk who had the final say, pouncing on a Fontaine mistake to bring the trophy to Dingwall for the first time.
