Royal Aberdeen will play host to some of the biggest names of golf when the Aberdeen Asset Management Scottish Open gets under way next week.
American Phil Mickelson is the defending champion but a stellar field boasting ten major champions is heading to the Balgwnie links aiming to take his crown.
Rory McIlroy, Justin Rose, Luke Donald, Henrik Stenson and Ian Poulter are among those who will be aiming for victory in the £3milllion European Tour event, while Paul Lawrie, Richie Ramsay, Stephen Gallacher and Chris Doak will be among the Scots leading the home charge when the event starts next Thursday.
