Two students who lived on Carmelite Street at the time of the incident told the court they watched an altercation between Derek Pearson and Steven Johnson on Carmelite Lane from their living-room window.
Derek Pearson, 47, was drinking in The Scottish Embassy bar alongside his former partner Kathleen Cunningham on the evening of March 12 2023 when he is alleged to have flown into a jealous rage and attacked Steven Johnson.
Ivory denied all the charges and was remanded in custody until his trial next month.
Dylon Guyan, 19, also headbutted a court security guard and tried to strangle his former partner.
Neriya Adiukwu, 20, was seen holding a “large knife or machete” outside the city’s Lemon Tree music venue on August 16 last year.
A 30-year-old man has been charged in connection with the search.
